You can find the detailed advertisement on J-REC-IN in the link below, with a summary reprinted below that:

Meiji Gakuin is a private university based on Christian principles, founded in 1863. It has two campuses, in Shirokane, Tokyo, and in Totsuka, Yokohama. The Department of Global and Transcultural Studies is based at the Totsuka campus. It was founded in 2011 and is the only department in the university that conducts classes entirely in English.
A vacancy has arisen for an adjunct lecturer to teach the course Introduction to Area Studies at GTS next spring (2024). This is a lower-division course and involves teaching one 90-minute class a week, in English, to Meiji Gakuin students, about 70% of them Japanese and 30% of various other nationalities. The spring semester starts on April 1, 2024 and teaching ends on July 27, 2024. The day and time-slot of the class is negotiable within the constraints of the overall timetable.
This appointment is initially for one semester only, but there may be a possibility of renewal in AY2025.
As the name of our department implies, we are interested both in global commonalities and local specificities. This course is designed to give students a basic understanding of different culture zones around the world and prepare them to take upper-division courses relating to particular parts of the world. We would be willing to consider applications from candidates who also consider themselves qualified to teach another course we are currently advertising, East Asian Politics and Society. The two courses could be taught back-to-back on a single day.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. / Doctor / Master
A PhD in a relevant field, such as Area Studies, Social/Cultural Anthropology or Human Geography, is strongly preferred. Well-advanced doctoral candidates will also be considered. Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
