The Sophia University Institute of Comparative Culture (ICC) has reissued the 2010 collection of edited papers entitled /Globalization, Food and Social Identities in the Asia Pacific Region/ <https://7b912aaa-2400-46c3-9847-666028c2ab29.filesusr.com/ugd/2edff9_0462677e8db944fe847160f3c6c30793.pdf>, edited by James Farrer. With the movement of the ICC to a new webpage <https://www.icc-sophia.com/>, we have consolidated the papers in a single easily accessible volume. Although the collection is now ten years old, it remains an important resource for scholars in food studies and global studies working on cross-border foodways and culinary exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region. We have also dedicated the collection to the memory of our beloved Sophia colleague Professor Kosaku Yoshino, who participated in the volume, and passed away in 2018. This is a free open-access volume. We hope many of you will download these papers and use them in your teaching and research.
