I am writing to invite all to attend Japan's first public celebration of "International Right to Know Day"
on September 22 at Meiji University. Details follow.
Title: "Nuclear Power and the Right to Know" --- a forum featuring Peter Bradford, former member of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Japanese experts
Program: The main event will be a presentation by Mr.
Peter Bradford, who served as a commissioner of the US NRC at the time of the Three Mile Island Incident and has enjoyed a long and productive career in power regulation in the United States. (See Winifred Bird's profile of Bradford here:

Mr. Bradford's speech will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Baku Nishio, co-director of the Citizens Nuclear Information Center (http://cnic.jp/english/), Tatsujiro Suzuki, the current deputy chair of Japan's Nuclear Regulatory Commission (genshiryoku iinkai), and attorney Hiroshi Miyake, a leading expert on Japan's government transparency laws.
