The Center aims to advance high-quality research, graduate education, and academic cooperation by addressing the political, economic, social, and cultural dynamics of the region. Its mission is to enhance academic knowledge on ASEAN's global significance and to strengthen Türkiye's academic engagement with Southeast Asia through comparative and interdisciplinary research.
Within this framework, the Center:
Conducts and supports ASEAN-focused academic research
Organizes conferences, seminars, and workshops
Promotes student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects
Develops institutional partnerships with universities and research networks in ASEAN countries
Produces academic and policy-oriented publications
Beyond its academic role, the Center also aims to serve as a bridge between Türkiye and ASEAN, fostering sustainable dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge exchange. We are open to academic and institutional collaborations and would be delighted to explore joint initiatives with your institution.
