【Details】
The rapid development of AI technology has brought about high expectations as well as potential institutional, legal, and ethical issues, such as unauthorized learning by AI, copyright issues in image generation, and handling of personal and confidential information. These problems of AI technology make it difficult for a single country to ensure the safety of AI in today's society, where the movement of people, goods, and information across national borders is accelerating.

In this era of AI in the 21st century, discussions on AI risks between the UK, which has decided to join the CPTPP and is increasingly shifting toward the Indo-Pacific, and Japan will provide very useful insights for both countries to exercise leadership in international standardization of advanced technologies and contribute to further deepening the UK-Japan relationship in terms of economic security. The discussion will contribute to the further deepening of the UK-Japan relationship in terms of economic and security issues.

The Economic Security Program (ESRP) of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) at the University of Tokyo and the British Embassy Tokyo are pleased to co-host an international symposium on "Standardization of AI Security: Risks, Opportunities and International Cooperation" featuring the keynote speaker Lindy Cameron CB OBE, Director of the UK National Cybersecurity Centre. The keynote speech will be followed by a discussion with panelists from the private sector, AI researcher, and policy researcher. We will open up to the floor for Q&A at the end.
