"Marriage Equality in Japan", presented by Makiko Terahara, Representative Director of Marriage for All Japan

Marriage For All Japan aims to realize a society in which everyone has the freedom to choose whether to marry or remain unmarried, regardless of their legal sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The organization was established by lawyers, PR professionals, and others to advocate for same-sex marriage and marriage equality. The name, "Marriage For All Japan - Freedom of Marriage for All" represents the belief that such a choice should be equally granted to couples whether they are of the same or opposite sex. This lecture will explore the issues related to marriage equality in Japan and the mission of Marriage for All Japan.

Makiko Terahara is the Representative Director of Marriage For All Japan and Co-Representative of Tokyo Omotesando LPC.
