[SSJ: 11168] Announcement: Japan Zoominar on "Business Reform after Abenomics"

From: Ulrike Schaede <uschaede@ucsd.edu>
Date: 2020/09/24

Dear all,

Next Tuesday, Sept 29, 4:30pm Pacific (Wednesday, 9/30, 8:30am Tokyo), we will host Mr. Kazuhiko Toyama for a Japan Zoominar on what to except in terms of business reforms going forward. For the past two decades, Toyama-san has been a consultant, PE investor, government advisor, and one of the most influential system reformers in Japan. He was the instrumental figure at the IRCJ (in charge of industrial revitalization under Koizumi) and led the turnaround of Daiei, Kanebo, various regional bus companies, and many more. He was later called in to help with the restructuring of JAL, and after 2011, TEPCO. He is currently a board member of several very important Japanese companies, and member of various government advisory councils. How he sees the future of business reform will likely be quite close to the path Japan will take.
