What can we expect from US-Asia relations after 2020? While the 2016 US presidential election was a major disruption to the mainstream understanding of US foreign policy thinking in Washington DC, it also ushered in an overdue shock and recalibration. This lecture will present a knowledgeable observer's perspective on the US presidential election and the changing US foreign policy consensus on Asia, and in particular on North Korea, China, Japan, and East Asia.
Devin Stewart is a visiting fellow at the Sophia University's Institute of Comparative Culture and a senior fellow at the Eurasia Group Foundation and Carnegie Council.
