[SSJ: 6726] Tohoku disaster possible book project and videos

From: Tom Gill
Date: 2011/06/23

Dear all,

Apologies for cross-posting.

I and a few buddies are mulling over the faint possibility of putting together a collection of fieldwork-based papers on the Tohoku disaster. If there is anyone on the list who has been doing fieldwork in Tohoku and might be interested in joining this project, please contact me off-list at tpgill@yahoo.com.

For those of you in Japan, this weekend's ASCJ conference would be a good chance to meet up and mull the possibilities. Ted Bestor discusses the disaster in the keynote on Saturday evening and I will be chairing a roundtable on the disaster on Sunday lunchtime.

Also if you know of any similar projects already underway, please let me know, if it is not secret.

And finally, here are a couple of very short videos I just uploaded to Youtube following a recent fieldtrip to Iitate.
