The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) released a new expert brief on Japan's evolving role in global health by Rayden Llano and Kenji Shibuya (University of Tokyo.)
In this brief, the authors discuss the key challenges and trends influencing Japan's contributions to global health and share forward-looking recommendations for reestablishing the nation's prominence as a leader in the field.
The authors also explain that while Japan has traditionally demonstrated leadership in global health, its government, NGO, and private sectors must better collaborate and coordinate efforts to maintain this status.
