[SSJ: 6452] SSJJ 13:2 is now online!

From: Tom Blackwood
Date: 2010/12/08

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to announce that the new issue of Social Science Japan Journal (SSJJ) is now available online at http://ssjj.oxfordjournals.org/content/current; hard copies should reach subscribers shortly. I have appended the Table of Contents of the articles below.
As always, issue 13:2 also has an extensive book review section, including several review essays and a number of reviews of Japanese-language monographs.

PDF files of individual articles are available to users at universities or registered domains with online subscription access (in some cases, you may need to check with your university's library about authorization procedures for accessing online journals).

Also, we are happy to announce SSJJ's inclusion in the authoritative on-line digital archive JSTOR (http://www.jstor.org/). Readers will be able to access back numbers of SSJJ (currently 1998-2002) in PDF form through universities, research institutes, large public libraries, or individual JSTOR accounts. Entry into JSTOR will make it easier for researchers and teachers to access SSJJ and to assign articles from it to students. Following close on the heels of our recent listing in Thomson Reuter's Social Science Citation Index, entry into JSTOR will further raise the profile of the journal. Of course, readers can still go to SSJJ's web site (http://ssjj.oxfordjournals.org/) for a full archive containing every issue of SSJJ from its inauguration until the most current issue (and even articles and reviews yet to be published in print, through the 'Advance Access' link).

Finally, from 2011 SSJJ will move to a new publication schedule of January and July, from the current publication dates of June and December. We believe readers will find the new schedule more convenient. As a transitional measure, we will be publishing two issues almost back to back: the current issue-13:2-is appearing this month, while issue 14:1 will appear in January of 2011.
