The U.S.-Japan Network for the Future program is accepting applications for the 8th Cohort. This is a two-year program designed to build and enhance a network of Japan specialists from both the United States and Japan that can bring diverse expertise and perspectives to the bilateral policy-making process in the mid- and long-term.

The program is primarily designed for mid-career academics (post-docs, advanced assistant professor, or early associate-professor levels) and practitioners who hope to or are currently involved in shaping public policy, especially issues that are pertinent to the U.S.-Japan alliance. Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in five meetings across two years. Programming includes study trips in Washington, D.C., a retreat in Montana, and a study trip in Japan.

More information about the Network and instructions for applying can be found here on our website.
