Dear fellow Forum-goers,

    As president of AJJ (Anthropology of Japan in Japan), I am very pleased to announce that our 2026 conference will be held at Akita University on May 23 to 24. The conference theme is "Entanglements and Embodiments: Anthropology, Ethnography and Sensing Japan." The Befu Prize (¥250,000) and Bookman Prize (¥50,000) will be up for grabs for emerging scholars.
