REMINDER: Nominations for Charlotte J. Conroy Dissertation Prize in Japanese History/Studies due June 1

Dear colleagues,
As a reminder, the submission deadline for the Modern Japan History Association's Charlotte J. Conroy Dissertation Prize in Japanese History/Studies is June 1, 2025.
The 3rd annual Charlotte J. Conroy Dissertation Prize will be awarded in early 2026 to a dissertation filed in 2024 substantially illuminating the history of modern and contemporary Japan (1868-present), as well as dissertations exploring the historical roots of modern Japanese society and culture. Provided this condition is met, dissertations from any academic discipline and covering earlier eras of history are eligible. For more information click here: https://mjha.org/Dissertation-
Dissertations can be submitted by any MJHA member (including self-nominations!)
If you filed a dissertation in 2024, or know someone else who did, please be sure to submit by June 1!
