Job Advertisement: Kyushu University hiring a postdoctoral social science researcher

Kyushu University is recruiting a research fellow or postdoctoral scholar for a project on the geoeconomics and geopolitics of Taiwanese semiconductor investment in Japan. This new project is directed by Kyudai Institute for Advanced Study Associate Professor and Inamori Frontier Program Fellow Ian Rowen .
The successful applicant should hold a PhD or be near completion in a social science field, preferably geography, sociology, anthropology, or politics.
They must be fluent in Japanese and English, and proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
Initial appointment can begin as soon as possible and will be for 2 years, with a possible extension through February 2030. Salary will be commensurate with experience and according to Kyushu University standards.
