The Faculty of Humanities at Leiden University invites applications for lectureship (for 2,5 years fixed term) in the Political Economy of Japan.

We are seeking applications from scholars of Japan with a PhD in political economy, international relations, political science, development studies, or geography, with demonstrated teaching experience and research potential. The ideal candidate has experience in supervising BA and MA theses, an in-depth understanding of Contemporary Japan, and proficiency in the Japanese language. We have identified supervision and teaching needs in the political economy of Japan, as well as Japan's integration within the regional and global political economy.
