"The Ultimate Challenge? The Future (and Past) of Two-Party Politics in Australia"
From: 平松彩子 <ayakohiramatsu@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp>
Date: 2024/03/14
Australia's two-party system is undergoing some significant changes in the recent years. What are those changes? What kind of challenges do the independent third parties pose on the system? What do they all mean for the Australian politics and our understandings of political parties? Professor Smith is Visiting Professor of Australian Studies at University of Tokyo's CPAS (2023-2024) and Professor of Australian Politics, Discipline of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney.
