Call-for-Papers, Health, SASE Limerick 2024,deadline 19 January 2024
We are pleased to announce a call-for-papers for the newly launched Health Network, of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) to be held from 27th to 29th June 2024 in Limerick, Ireland. We invite scholars from all academic levels and disciplines to contribute their research. The submission deadline for paper abstracts is Friday, 19th January 2024.
The T: Health network is dedicated to the social scientific study of health in its broadest sense, and after four successful years as an annual SASE mini-conference "health and medicines" we have been selected as a permanent SASE network "T: Health" launching in 2024 at the SASE annual conference in Limerick. Our focus encompasses four primary areas: the integration of health within wider economic, political, and social frameworks; issues of health equality and equity; the organization and structuring of health systems; and the pricing and valuation of health. We aim to cultivate a diverse, interdisciplinary community, encouraging cross-national comparisons and global perspectives on a range of health-related topics. These include, but are not limited to, studies on drugs, medicines, healthcare services, community and public health initiatives, and health policy.
We welcome submissions on these themes and encourage participants to propose papers on other related issues. This conference represents a unique opportunity to contribute to an emerging field, connect with peers, and explore new dimensions in the study of health. Join us in shaping a comprehensive and inclusive discourse on global health challenges and solutions. Submissions link here: https://sase.org/event/2024-limerick/#submissions
