Title: Two Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in IRP at IUJ
The International Relations Program (IRP) in the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR)
at the International University of Japan (IUJ) offers Master's and PhD degrees in International Relations (IR degree)
and a Master's degree in Political Science (IR (PS) degree).
The IRP currently seeks applications for two tenure-track positions (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level)
to begin in April 2024 or September 2024 at the latest. English fluency is required, while Japanese fluency is preferred but not required.

The successful candidate will teach 4 eight-week courses in the Master program per academic year, 
distributed across the three-semesters (fall, winter, and spring). In addition, the candidate will supervise 
graduate research projects (master thesis or research reports), also serve of the PhD advisory committee 
throughout an academic year. One overseas business trip per academic year may be required.

The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience in addition to benefits for housing or commuting. 
IUJ provides on-campus housing options for faculty and their families.

Established in 1982, IUJ is a private graduate school located in Minami Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. 
IUJ is Japan's first graduate school to provide all courses in English. The IRP student body is very diverse coming 
from all over the world. It also includes public officials from a number of countries.
