The Waseda Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies and the Waseda Institute of Asian Migrations would like to invite you to our mini-symposium on "Vietnamese Migrant Workers in Japan and the UK."
The colloquium will feature talks from Dr. Sebastian Rumsby (Queen Mary University of London), Dr. Aimi Muranaka (Duisburg-Essen University) and Dr. An Huy Tran (Bielefeld University).

Navigating the (working) life in Japan: Study on Vietnamese IT professionals in the Japanese labour market by Dr. Aimi Muranaka
Charging Masculinity: Gender Aspiration, Transformation, and Circular Migration among Vietnamese Migrant Men in Japan by Dr. An Huy Tran
The seminar will be in hybrid form: In-person at Waseda University and via Zoom on July 5 (Wednesday) at 18:00-20:00 JST. The seminar will be recorded. Refreshments and beverages are provided.
