Call for papers : Fondation France-Japon de l'EHESS / Banque de France Lab Workshop, Paris, France, June 27th 2023
From: Yukiko Itoh <yukiko.itoh@ehess.fr>
Date: 2023/04/12
Dear friends and colleagues,
The Fondation France-Japon de l'EHESS and the Banque de France are jointly organizing the workshop "Climate change, natural disasters, and financial risk: how could central banks integrate environmental issues into their policies?" on Tuesday June 27th 2023 in Paris (Banque de France).
Climate change and its associated natural disasters pose significant financial risks to economies around the world. As a result, central banks are increasingly being called upon to integrate environmental issues into their policies. This event will explore the various ways that central banks can incorporate environmental risk into their decision-making, including the use of climate stress tests, the development of green financing initiatives, and the implementation of environmental disclosure requirements. The Fondation France-Japon de l'EHESS, Banque de France joint workshop aims at bringing together leading researchers from academia, central banks and other policy institutions to present research findings related to the importance of including climate change risks in the decision-making of the central banks' policies.
The deadline for submission is May 10th 2023. Authors of accepted papers will be informed by May 15th 2023. To submit a paper, please email a PDF version to ffj@ehess.fr.
The paper should include a title, abstract, keywords, and the author(s)' name(s), affiliation(s), and contact information. Please indicate whether the submission is a full paper or an extended abstract. We invite authors to submit completed papers. Extended abstracts will be also considered but preference will be given to completed papers. We look forward to your submissions and to a stimulating and informative conference on this important topic.
If you have any difficulties registering for this meeting, please contact The Fondation France-Japon de l'EHESS at ffj@ehess.fr.
