This is a friendly reminder of the upcoming DIJ conference - only a few seats left!
'Local Self-organization and Civic Engagement in Regional Japan' on March 7, 2023, on-site at the DIJ Tokyo
The conference will feature presentations by nine scholars on multidisciplinary projects conducted within the DIJ's research cluster The Future of Local Communities in Japan - Risks and Opportunities in the Face of Multiple Challenges from 2015 to 2022. Topics covered range from social welfare provision, volunteerism, and regional theatre to fishery cooperatives and shifting state-society relations. They will be complemented with presentations by prominent Japanese scholars in the field.
