WSJ Op-Ed: Weak Yen Reflects Weak Japanese Economy

The Wall Street Journal recently published an op-ed by me arguing that the depreciation of the yen reflects the declining competitiveness of the Japanese economy. Moreover, the weak yen is doing great damage to the economy by raising the price of imported essentials, from energy to food, which further depresses consumer purchasing power.
