The Norwegian University of Science and Technology has posted an advertisement for my successor there. Although the advertisement as written focuses on East Asia, in fact there is a strong interest in recruiting a Japanologist focusing on Japan´s international role and its relations with East Asia. The position would include running the NTNU Japan Program. Candidates who can demonstrate competence in both Chinese and Japanese politics are especially desired. It is also more open in terms of rank than indicated by the advertisement.
