We would like to invite applications for a limited-term (5 year, non-renewable) position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications) in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Studies at Doshisha University in Kyoto. The applicant should be a sociologist or anthropologist who is able to lecture in English on subjects such as "Japanese Culture and Society".
