[SSJ: 11109] Tenure-Track and Postdoctoral Positions at the National University of Singapore (NUS)

We invite applications for various tenure-track and postdoctoral positions in the Communications and New Media department at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The application deadline is August 15, 2020.

Assistant Professor in Cultural Studies

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: inter-Asia cultural studies; cultural and new media industries in Asia; network theory and data cultures of Asia; critical diaspora and mobility studies; new media, indigenous and sovereignty studies; digital ethnography; posthumanism, environment and ecology in Asia, cultural economy; cultural policy; critical creative industry studies; soft power and cultural diplomacy; multiculturalism and migration; community cultural development and; urban communication such as urban digital art and design.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Assistant Professor (Open Specialization)

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: strategic communication, communication management, interactive media design, human-computer interaction, cultural studies, communication technology, and computational social sciences.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Computational Communication, Design Informatics, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow

We welcome candidates whose work falls in one or more of the following areas: new media and mobility; cultural studies in Asia; cultural theory and materialist cultural studies; critical software studies and network theory; games and e-sports theory; race, gender and sexuality studies in Asia; critical creative industry and policy studies; Asian film and digital heritage studies; digital ethnography and qualitative research methods.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.
