We are entering an era in which digital devices, AI-controlled appliances, homes, and cities themselves are being managed not only for the economic activities in our lives, but also for our emotions and even our expressions. In this context, we would like to invite David Murakami Wood, who has been part of a team at the Surveillance Studies Centre at Queen's University in Canada, collaborating with science fiction writers and filmmakers to produce films from an academic standpoint, to screen short films about the future of three mass surveillance societies and and lecture.

In the first half, we'd like to screen and lecture on three short films about the future of mass surveillance. In the second half, we will discuss the SSC's work and vision for the future. How do we live in an information management society through this lecture? It is time to think together about the answers to these questions.
