President Johannesson of Iceland will give a lecture at the University of Tokyo on the occasion of his formal visit to Japan. As a historian specializing in the modern history of Iceland, we believe that a talk on the role of small countries by an incumbent president will provide us with a new perspective on how we think about the world.
