Proposal Title: Digital Transformation and its Practical Implications: Evidence from Asia

Session Abstract

This interdisciplinary panel discusses digital transformation and its practical implication in the case of Japan and China. It particularly focuses on how organizations and individuals cope to actively embrace change in a digital era. The way we work, attract customers, and conduct research is vastly different from what we did years ago thanks to modern digital technology. Previous studies have pointed out both positive impacts of technological advances and its negative effects; however, few of them have holistically looked into the ways people coping with these changes. This panel shares opportunities and challenges in corporate management, branding and humanities research, aiming to discuss if there is anything unique about these dynamics in Asia.
