Senior Lecturer


The European Institute of Japanese Studies at Stockholm School of Economics is looking for a senior lecturer with good knowledge on Japan and the Japanese language and an excellent track record in academic publishing. The research field should be social sciences with a preference for business economics and politics. Experience of teaching, both in an academic as well as more general open setting, and some editorial experience are important. So is capacity to initiate and lead research projects as well as supervise PhD candidates. The person will be given substantial freedom to form her/his own work. European and other international experience is considered an asset. We are looking for a positive personality, with capacity to cooperate, that will fit into the dynamic atmosphere of this small but very active institute.
