We are cordially inviting you to the Third Tokyo Colloquium on "Building Stable Peace on the Korean Peninsula: Turning Armistice into a Permanent Peace Agreement" on Friday, February 8th.
The aim of this colloquium is to bring regional experts on peace and security in Northeast Asia with policy makers, diplomats, civil society organizations and academics from Japan, China, Korea, Russia and the U.S. In the face of geopolitical instability, the colloquium will identify the forces generating insecurity, and analyze impediments to negotiated responses to North Korean challenges. The meeting will focus particular attention on the pre-requisites and prospects for negotiating an end to the Korean armistice and developing a permanent peace agreement on the Korean peninsula.
