I hope these lines find you well. I am reaching out to let you know that a new and exciting opportunity has emerged at War Studies. As part of our effort to enhance our teaching and research capacity in the field of Japan Studies from both history and security perspectives, the Department of War Studies is hiring a new teaching fellow for the next academic year.



This is an ideal position for a young person that has recently gained a PhD in a relevant subject to join a team of young and dynamic academics, gain some teaching experience with a passionate crowd of international students, join a rich series of seminar and research activities, and receive dedicated mentorship to get the first publications off the ground.

*Salary Details: *Grade 6, £33,518 to £35,550 per annum

*Allowances: *£2,923 London Allowance

*Contract Type:* Temporary/Fixed term

*Contract Term:* Full time

Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates with a strong background in Japanese Military History, politics and security studies to support teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A completed PhD in a relevant field and Japanese language skills are essential.
