About talk: Professor Asakawa will systematically investigate challenges and the future of global R&D management from the organizational, strategic and macro ecoomic points of view. He will show cases in various types of industries and locations. We will also hear dilemmas of MNCs and his suggestions what are the effective management strategies to be successful in global R&D.

About speaker: Dr. Kazuhiro Asakawa is a professor of multinational organizations and strategy at Keio University, Japan.  He received his Ph.D. from INSEAD and his MBA from Harvard Business School. His research interests are focused on innovation and R&D management of multinational corporations. He is an Associate Editor of Global Strategy Journal and has served on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management, and Asia Pacific Journal of Management. He was a visiting professor at McGill University, Yonsei University, and Johannes Kepler University Linz. He was also a visiting scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management and the research institutes at METI and the Ministry of Education.
