Hitotsubashi University, Faculty of Commerce and Management
Position: The Faculty of Commerce and Management of Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo seeks a Professor/Associate Processor/Lecturer, for a 1-2 year contract position (extendable to 4 years), beginning on in June or July 2012. Successful candidates will teach undergraduates in the newly initiated Global Leadership Program and also have time and resources to conduct their own research. They will also be expected to participate in Hitotsubashi University's active research community, by interacting with PhD students and research faculty.
Qualifications: Scholars at all levels are welcome to apply. PhD students who expect to receive their degree before April 2013 are eligible. More senior professors who are interested in spending time on one of the most beautiful university campuses in Japan are also welcome. We are open to scholars from any discipline taught in business programs (management, strategy, marketing, finance, accounting, operations, etc.).
Successful candidates will combine an emphasis on research with enthusiasm for teaching some of the best undergraduate students in Japan, and for contributing to the vibrant research community at Hitotsubashi University. Teaching and research-related activities will be conducted in English.
Compensation: Compensation will be based on age, educational background and research experience.
Transportation to and from Tokyo is also included.
