SUMMARY

Over the past year, Obama administration officials have outlined a strategy to refocus U.S. attention on the Asia-Pacific. This Asia Policy roundtable brings together experts and former policy practitioners to discuss the opportunities and challenges arising from this rebalancing effort and to assess how the United States can best pursue its interests in the region.

The roundtable features contributions from James B.
Steinberg (Syracuse University), Thomas Fargo (NBR), Aaron L. Friedberg (Princeton University), J. Stapleton Roy (Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars), David M. Lampton (Johns Hopkins SAIS), and Wallace "Chip" Gregson (Center for the National Interest).
