Hosei University will host an international symposium on"Sierra Leone:
The Security and Development Nexus" on July 7 in Tokyo.
The symposium will focus on the rare example of a nation that has been successful in its peacebuilding efforts. Special attention will be paid to “security sector reform”, that is, the rebuilding of capable and people-centered security forces (e.g. police, military), which are essential to establishing a solid base for security and development in war-torn nations.

Prior registration IS required, and seating is limited to 70 people.
