Hello,
I am a research assistant from Western Washington University in the United States conducting a study on the Great East Japan Earthquake and the role of Japanese news media in the reporting of energy infrastructure disruption and restoration. My research has focused on the interaction between US news media reporting of disaster-related infrastructure disruption and restoration and its influence on government policies associated with the respective infrastructure as it relates to future disasters.
I am applying my research on the Great East Japan Earthquake. Are there other researchers or individuals that could provide context to the the Japanese news media, as well as social media's reporting of the disruption and restoration of energy infrastructure since the March 11, 2011 event? Could you pass this request to the SSJ-Forum?
Thanks so much.
Best Regards,
