[SSJ: 6658] BAJS Japan Mini Conference: 28-29 May

The British Association for Japanese Studies (Japan
Branch) warmly invites colleagues to attend its 5th event, a Mini Conference to be held at Hokkaido University on 28 and 29 May 2011.
There are six panels of papers, 4 in English and 2 in Japanese. The themes
are:
1) War and memory in Japan
2) Diplomacy in prewar Japan (in Japanese)
3) Tourism in Hokkaido
4) Local war history (in Japanese)
5) Japanese history, a Hokkaido perspective
6) Japan's shrinking regions
