2011 PACIFIC ENERGY SUMMIT: Unlocking the Potential of Natural Gas in the Asia-Pacific
Jakarta, Indonesia | February 21-23, 2011
The 2011 Pacific Energy Summit will explore the potential for natural gas to accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy while supporting continued economic growth. Discussions will examine the global long-term gas supply and demand outlook, the role of natural gas in regional climate change policies, and Asia's evolving gas market. Additional panels will explore best practices for accelerating investment in upstream production and downstream infrastructure, designing effective domestic gas markets, the future of unconventional gas, and incorporating natural gas in the power sector.
The mission of the Pacific Energy Summit is to foster economic and energy security in the Asia-Pacific by developing practical solutions to the twin challenges of rising energy demand and global climate change. The Summit convenes a select group of high-level representatives from policy, industry, NGOs, and academia to explore innovative technology and policy solutions in an interactive setting that follows a modified Chatham House Rule.
