Dear SSJ-Forum subscribers,

we would like to remind you of the impending deadline of the call for papers for the History Section at the next International Conference of the European Association for Japanese Studies, to be held in Tallinn (Estonia) from 24 to 27 August 2011. The two topics of the History Section this time are "From Taisho Democracy to TV Democracy - A Century of Democracy in Japan" and "Changing the Perspective: The Non-Human Realm in Japanese History", but other paper and panel proposals not falling under either of these headings are also welcome and will be taken into consideration.
