Professor Alan RENARD, Director of Research, Ecole Polytechnic, Econometrics
Laboratory, National Center of Scientific Research,Paris.

Tuesday, 24 October 1995 15:00-17:00

Large meeting room (dai kaigi shitsu), 1F, Institute of Social Science,
University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus).

Professor Renard's background is in econometrics but his research on urban land
problems has led him into law and political science. In short, he is the
quintessential ISS researcher. His publications include: "Land policy in France,
1945-1990" (co-edited with J.Comby; ADEF, Paris, 1991); Land and Property
Development in France, in "Land and Property Development in a Changing Context",
P.Healey and R.Nabarro, eds., Gower, 1990.

The talk will be in English, followed by discussion. Questions may be in
English, Japanese or French.

This is an ISS staff seminar, not an open event, so pre-registration is
essential. If you would like to attend, please email me at
