Some of you may be interested to know the the University of Wisconsin will be searching for a faculty member in Japanese political economy this fall, to start in Fall '96. I should note that this will be a position that will be competitive among departments of Political Science, Economics, and Business. So the ideal candidate would have some real capacity to keep all three departments happy (translation: no pure political scientists, or pure economists are likely to win the job).
