[SSJ: 8] Japanese Colonialism and Economic Effects

This is a request for help. I'm currently working on a project that examines the influence of Japanese colonialism on the subsequent economic development of Korea. In reading the Korean language texts, I see reference to an on-going debate in the Japanese language over the economic effect in Korea.

I have also found some extensive, minute detail on the Korean economy 1910-1945, but have been unable to find sources that discuss the aggregate performance of the economy: GNP growth, Investment, etc.

My question is this: can anyone direct me to the leading Japanese economic historians who are currently discussing these issues? Does anyone know of "the cite" that would give me overall economic performance data? I have read Mitsuhiko Kimura's piece in the Journal of Economic History: does anyone know of more work like that?

Thanks!
