*Overview*

LIVE YOUR DREAM: The Taylor Anderson Story chronicles the life of Taylor Anderson from her childhood in Richmond, Virginia to the catastrophic events of March 11, 2011.

Taylor was a JET teacher, an English language assistant teacher in Ishinomaki Japan. When the earthquake struck, she helped to evacuate the children from her school to higher ground in anticipation of a tsunami.
Once the kids were safe, Taylor realized that she had forgotten her cell phone at home and had no way to call her family. A teacher said, "The tsunami is coming" and Taylor nodded in acknowledgment but because a previous tsunami earlier that week had only been a few inches high, she took off on her bike.
A 30 meter high wave engulfed Ishinomaki and Taylor never made it. LIVE YOUR DREAM is a testament to her life in Japan and the children she taught. It is also a testament to all the JET teachers of Tohoku who faced and met the challenges created by this unprecedented disaster.

The film is 85 minutes long with subtitles for American and Japanese audiences.
