Part-time Position in "Contemporary Japanese Economy"

The Summer Session in Asian Studies at Sophia University is looking for a part-time teacher for a course on "Contemporary Japanese Economy " for the summer session in 2013 (16 classes between 26 July to
10 August 2013, on every weekday and two Saturdays).

Established in 1961, the Summer Session is the oldest and most extensive summer program in Japan. While students of Sophia University's Faculty of Liberal Arts attend the session, the majority of participants come from abroad. The candidate should have an advanced degree (M.A. or Ph. D.) in a related discipline and preferably some university teaching experience in an English language environment.
The contents of the course may reflect the area of expertise of the instructor, but should focus on contemporary issues of Japanese political economy and Japan's interdependence with the world economy.

Remuneration is as follows:
- 430,000 yen for 16 classes (130 minutes per class)
- cost for commuting to/from Sophia University (max.
6,250 Yen per day)
- housing in a weekly mansion in Iidabashi for a maximum of 30 days will be provided for instructors having their permanent residency outside of Japan, or within Japan but outside of the Kanto region.
