Naoyuki Haraoka, Executive Managing Director of the Japan Economic Foundation, will discuss foreign direct investment (FDI) in Japan, focusing on how FDI in Japan has changed in the past decades, its role in the economy, and its future.



Haraoka-san joined METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and
Industry) after graduating from the University of Tokyo. He held numerous positions, including head of the JETRO office in San Francisco. During his career he also served on the staff of the OECD and at the Japanese mission to the OECD, and also graduated from Princeton University with an MPA.
