[SSJ: 6903] Part-time Lecturer of Academic Writing and Presentation Skills (University of Tsukuba)

Dear SSJ Forum members,

Graduate Program in International Area Studies at the University of Tsukuba is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach a 2 credit (30 academic hours of 75 min.) course in Academic Writing and Presentation Skills in English. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the course during the third trimester (December 2011-March 2012). The course can be taught either in an intensive format (4-5 full days of
teaching) or over an extended period of time, depending on the students' schedule and the lecturer's availability. This course is targeted mainly at exchange students from Asian countries pursuing a one year MA degree in International Studies taught in English.
According to the University of Tsukuba's regulations, part-time lecturers are paid approximately 5270 yen per hour of teaching (approximately 150,000 for the
course.) Domestic travel costs within Japan as well as accommodation in Tsukuba (in case the lecturer chooses to teach the course in an intensive format) will be covered by the University of Tsukuba in accordance with relevant regulations.
