Touche. Aurelia, I think you just slapped me down with a waza-ari if not an ippon. I can imagine scenarios where Ozawa would be the focal point of a schism that causes a breakup--something that no other single figure in the DPJ can do--but my comment implies a claim that Ozawa can take 100-150 Diet members into the wilderness with him more or less when he likes. That, as your comment clearly implies, is not the case in my view either.

Do you mind if I send forward this to my lawyer friend in Washington, who I'm trying to introduce to the pleasure of the SSJ threads--on the regrettably rare occasions when they break out?
