[SSJ: 6004] Job Announcement: Manga/Anime faculty at TUJ

Overview of positions:

Temple University Japan Campus (TUJ) is seeking faculty to teach courses in the academic study of Anime, and Manga, for its Summer Institute of Studies in Contemporary Japanese Popular Culture. In addition to courses in Anime and Manga, the Institute will offer courses in Japanese Popular Culture, and Japanese Language, in an intensive 10-week session at TUJ's Tokyo campus.

He/she will be able to teach undergraduate courses and should demonstrate a research record or a clear research agenda. The successful candidate will be expected to teach media-related courses focused on Anime and/or Manga for the summer Institute, but may continue thereafter to offer courses in these areas in future semesters.

Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate will have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in Art History, Communications, Media Studies, Anthropology or Sociology with academic experience in Asian and Japanese Studies.
